- The Agreement is between the publisher of an industry journal and an author who wants to submit his ⁄ her written work for publication in the journal.
- The author grants the publisher the write to publish the work in the journal, in either printed or electronic form, and via the publisher's website.
- The publishing right is exclusive for a specified period of time, and then becomes non-exclusive to allow the author to publish the work through other channels.
- The publisher has the right to translate the work into other languages, subject to the author's approval of the translator.
- All copyright and ownership rights in the work remain with the author.
- The publication of the work in the journal must include a notice that the work may be reproduced and distributed for nonprofit educational purposes.
