Under the terms of the Agreement, a musical composer transfers ownership of a particular work (including copyright) to the publisher, in return for the payment of royalties on the sales of printed sheet music and recordings, licensing fees and performance royalties.
The contract includes a chart setting out the royalty that will be paid for:

- magazine, folio, or song book publications;
- sales of recordings;
